To celebrate Delta's milestone as the first U.S. airline to turn 100 years old, the Atlanta-based carrier is bringing a fresh twist to its classic trading cards – introducing a brand-new Centennial-themed collection of cards. With a bold new design showcasing its special centennial colors and branding, this limited-edition set is a must-have for aviation geeks, frequent flyers, and collectors alike.

Delta is rolling out over five million new cards starting today, March 25, featuring planes like the Airbus A220, A321neo, A330-900, and the A350, as well as the Boeing 717, 737, 757-200, and 767-300.

Flying with one Delta's regional partners? You might even score a CRJ-900 or E175 card, depending on your carrier.

Delta’s trading card legacy began in 2003 with a limited-edition MD-11 card marking the aircraft's retirement, and over the years, the collection has grown to include seven series and 68 unique cards.

These trading cards have skyrocketed in popularity in recent years (thanks to the power of social media), and Delta is doubling down with its new card designs. “In 2024 alone, we distributed over 3 million cards — proving just how much these little collectibles mean to our passengers.” said Ryan Gumm, Senior Vice President of Flight Operations. “This simple, yet impactful interaction between our pilots and customers elevates and enriches the flight experience – and has created meaningful connections and memorable moments along the way.”

Not flying Delta anytime soon? There’s another way to get in on the fun: Starting in April, customers who purchase a physical Delta gift card (starting at just $50) at delta.com/giftcards can receive a commemorative gift set featuring two exclusive Centennial livery trading cards. This is the only other way to snag these special-edition cards – besides asking your pilot in-flight. Each set comes in a sleek, collectible package, making it a perfect gift for the Delta-lover in your life (or a treat for yourself!).

Just know that when purchasing a physical Delta gift card, you'll also be on the hook for at least $4.99 in shipping costs, so going this route won't be worth it for everyone.

The next time you fly with Delta, be sure to ask your pilot for a card and keep the tradition going. Happy collecting!

Bottom Line

Delta is celebrating its 100th anniversary with a new Centennial-themed trading card collection, with over 5 million of these cards available starting today, March 25. Customers can also get exclusive Centennial livery cards by purchasing a physical Delta gift card online in April.
