Get up to a 50% Bonus Using Chase Points to Buy Apple Products!

Believe it or not, it's always been possible to use Chase points to buy Apple products – at least with the points you earn from cards like the *chase sapphire preferred* and the *chase sapphire reserve*. But it's not always a great deal: Those points are typically worth 1.2 cents each when buying Apple gear through the Chase portal, regardless of which credit card you hold.

But through May 31, your Chase Ultimate Rewards points will be worth up to 50% more when redeeming towards Apple products through the Chase Ultimate Rewards portal. That could make these points a great way to get some Apple gear right now.

With the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card or even the *chase ink preferred*, you can redeem points for 1.25 cents each to buy Airpods, iPhones, Apple Watches, a Macbook, or other Apple accessories. With the Chase Sapphire Reserve Card, you get 1.5 cents per point toward those Apple purchases.

Even Chase's no-annual-fee Freedom cards get a bonus – though it's a small one. If you hold one of the Chase Freedom Cards or even the Ink Business Cash or Unlimited Cards, your points will be worth 10% more towards Apple products: They will be worth 1.1 cents each through the end of May.

We see this limited-time offer once or twice a year or so, allowing you to get the same value you get using those Chase points to book travel, and it's just another way to get some extra value out of your Chase points.

How to Use Chase Points to Buy Apple Products

If you have a card that earns Chase Ultimate Rewards points like the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card, the Chase Sapphire Reserve, the Ink Business Preferred Credit Card, or the Chase Ink Business Unlimited or Cash cards, you can simply log in to your account on the Ultimate Rewards home page.

From here, on the top navigation bar, toggle over to the “Shopping & Experiences” tab and select “Shop Apple®.”

That will bring you to a marketplace where you can use your Chase points to pay for Apple products at an increased rate. Since I hold the Chase Sapphire Preferred, my points are worth 25% more through May 31. If you have the Chase Sapphire Reserve, your points will be worth 50% more.

Take, for example, the Apple AirTags, one of the best travel accessories on the market. These normally retail for $99 for a four-pack. Since I hold the Chase Sapphire Preferred, I could buy these AirTags for just 7,920 points.

With the Chase Sapphire Reserve, they would cost 6,600 points since the points would be redeemed at 1.5 cents each.

Of course, you'll also find Mac computers, iPads, iPhones (including the new iPhone 15), the Apple Watch, Apple TV, and tons of Apple product accessories available for this promotion through May 31.

This can be a great deal – especially if you are in the market for any Apple products. Since Chase points are now worth 10% to 50% more, depending on what card you hold, you aren't losing much value by using them to buy some AirTags or a pair of AirPods – or any value at all.

You're getting the same bang for your buck as if you used Chase points to book travel through the Chase Ultimate Rewards portal. While it's certainly possible to squeeze more out of these points by transferring them to an airline or hotel partner, this is still a strong option if you're in the market for some Apple gear.

Bottom Line

This new offer to use Chase points to purchase Apple products for up to 50% more is valid through May 31. That's worth taking advantage of if you have Chase points and some Apple gear on your wishlist.
