If you'd given up on your stash of SkyMiles flying you to Europe this year, think again! This week, Delta is running a massive Delta SkyMiles flash sale to some of the best destinations in Europe, and they couldn't be easier to find and book for as low as just 29,000 SkyMiles … roundtrip!
You'll find the lowest rates from Boston (BOS) and New York City (JFK), but there are plenty of flights across the pond for under 40,000 SkyMiles – a fraction of what most other airlines charge – from airports all across the country.
As always, our Thrifty Traveler Premium members got first dibs on this deal when we found it. Amsterdam (AMS), Dublin (DUB), Munich (MUC), Rome (FCO) and Milan (MXP) were all included in this deal (and several other European cities, too!), giving travelers one of their best uses of Delta SkyMiles yet.

The savings here are enormous: Most airlines typically charge 30,000 miles (or much, much more) for a one-way flight in economy to Europe – and with Delta, you're more often to see rates of 100,000 SkyMiles roundtrip or more. Depending on where you're heading, these fares get hit with a reasonable $50 to $80 or so in taxes – or closer to $200 for a roundtrip to London-Heathrow (LHR).
There are ultra-low rates whether you head to Rome (FCO), Paris-Charles de Gaulle (CDG), Amsterdam (AMS), Lisbon (LIS), Madrid (MAD), or almost anywhere in western Europe. You're bound to find the lowest rates by booking your trip to Europe in February or early March.
Plus, almost every city with Delta service can get in on these deal, so travelers from coast-to-coast can book these fares for the same low rates.
Got a Delta SkyMiles card like the *delta skymiles gold card* in your wallet? You're in luck: You'll get the best deal thanks to the TakeOff 15 benefit. That 15% discount brings these roundtrip fares as low as under 29,000 SkyMiles.
Unfortunately, the lowest rates in this deal are on Delta's pesky basic economy award fares. That means you won't be able to pick a seat for free, you'll forfeit a sizable 19,900 SkyMiles if you decide to cancel your ticket later on, and you won't earn Skymiles or Medallion Qualifying Dollars (MQDs) towards elite status. It could be well worth the extra 20,000 or so to book a main cabin fare, getting free seat selection and cancellation to get all your SkyMiles back if plans change.
While you'll find the lowest rates from East Coast hubs like Boston and New York, there are sizable savings from airports nationwide – just search from your home airport!
