After more than a year of “Will they or won't they?” with the fate of some of the biggest money-saving benefits on *biz platinum*, American Express finally has a path forward for its flagship business card's current $400 Dell credit ($200 twice a year) while tweaking another perk for Adobe purchases.
Starting July 1, Business Platinum cardholders will instead earn an annual $150 statement credit when making purchases directly through Dell's U.S. website – plus, you can earn an additional $1,000 statement credit after spending $5,000 or more. Cardholders will now also earn an annual $250 statement credit after they spend $600 or more directly through Adobe's U.S. website.
The bank is notorious for constantly tinkering with the benefits on its travel credit cards. Sometimes, they give … but more often than not, they take. Let's take a closer look at what's changing on the Business Platinum Card.

What Credits Are Changing?
Much like the personal Platinum card, *biz platinum* comes packed with perks and credits that help justify its sky-high annual fee. While some of these credits are undoubtedly easier to use than others, they can each be big money savers for business owners.
Annual Statement Credits at Dell
For years, cardholders have received up to $400 in statement credits annually for U.S. purchases with Dell, available in two $200 increments. Dell sells a lot more than just computers (including products from many other brands), making this credit incredibly valuable for many cardholders. This benefit was available every six months.
Now, you'll just get one credit for up to $150 a year. While that's a notable decrease, it'll be available throughout the entire calendar year (starting in 2026) rather than being split up into two installments.
Amex is also adding a second credit of up to $1,000 … but only if you spend $5,000 or more with Dell in a calendar year.
This change is undoubtedly negative unless you are already spending $5,000-plus with Dell each year. If that's not you, your two $200 credits ($400 total) to use on anything Dell sells took quite a haircut. You'll now get just one credit for up to $150 each year.

Annual Statement Credits on Adobe Products
Currently, Business Platinum cardholders get up to $150 each year to spend on select Adobe purchases. This one was more tricky for many business owners to use, as the benefit is only valid on annual prepaid business plan purchases of Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Acrobat Pro for teams.
It's getting a major improvement.
Expanding beyond select Adobe products, cardholders can earn a statement credit back on all purchases through Adobe. While you'll have to spend more to unlock it, this benefit increased to $250 after spending at least $600. That's $100 extra if you're purchasing Adobe applications in bulk – and most importantly, there's no requirement to buy only select Adobe products in order to trigger it.
Still, the major hangup here is that you'll basically have to purchase three annual Adobe subscriptions to get one free, as most plans average $250 apiece. This would be most useful for businesses of at least three-plus people who need these applications or individuals who need three Adobe subscriptions. The math might not make the most sense for every business owner.
What This Means for Current Cardholders
If you already have a Business Platinum Card in your wallet, this is a golden opportunity to double-dip before these changes take effect.
The current benefits – up to $200 in Dell credits semi-annually and $150 for Adobe – will remain in place until June 30. That means cardholders could use up those perks before the end of June, then use the new credits come July 1. American Express has confirmed that current cardholders will still get these credits even if they've already used up the existing credits by June 30.
Starting in 2026, both the Dell and Adobe credits will be calendar year benefits.
For a while, it looked like the Business Platinum was set to lose its annual Dell and Adobe credits, though both of those were extended through June 30. At the same time, Amex added a new statement credit of up to $200 per year for purchases made at Hilton, doled out in quarterly $50 increments every three months.
While it's safe to say that the Adobe credit is improving simply by being made more flexible, it's not as clear on the Dell credit. Are you already spending $5,000 a year with Dell? If that's you, this benefit update should be a big win. If you were simply taking advantage of the up to $200 credits twice a year ($400 total) to spend on Dell's website, this benefit change stings and certainly takes value away from the card.
Bottom Line
To Amex's credit, they never fail to make a splash in the world of premium travel credit cards, keeping cardholders new and old on their toes at all times by adding and removing benefits.
Starting on July 1, Amex is making updates to both the Dell and Adobe benefits on its Business Platinum card. If your business is already spending a ton of money at Dell, this should be a positive change. If not, your Dell credits are taking a hit.
At any rate, there's an opportunity for Business Platinum cardholders to double dip, taking advantage of both the current credits and the new ones once they go live July 1.
